The chapter corresponds to the hour and the verse to the minute. For example, at 3:16 pm you might see John 3:16 or 2 Timothy 3:16. At 3:17 you might see Zephaniah 3:17 or Daniel 3:17. Bible Clock displays one of over 10,000 verses, each timed to appear throughout your day.

For the few times each day that don't align with a chapter and verse, Bible Clock displays Christ-centered inspirational quotes or simply shows the time.

Each minute, Bible Clock finds the verses whose chapter and verse match the current time, then randomly selects one from across the books of the Bible. At 3:16, for example, you might see John 3:16 one day and Genesis 3:16 the next. Our team curates with a light touch, setting aside verses that don’t read clearly on their own, such as partial sentences or genealogies, so that as much of the Bible as possible stays in the rotation.

Bible Clock is perfectly suited to a wide variety of Christian occasions, milestones, and holidays. It’s a natural fit for baptism, christening, first communion, and confirmation– when godparents, grandparents, and family often look for something a child can keep as they grow. It also works well for holidays such as Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter, and Christmas.

Bible Clocks are preloaded with the King James Version, our favorite for single-verse reading. Its timeless, poetic language has shaped how generations remember scripture, and its verses often stand beautifully on their own, which is just what a clock that shows one verse at a time calls for.

On Wi-Fi-enabled clocks, connect to Wi-Fi and select Update to access additional translations, including the New American Standard Bible (NASB), a direct, word-for-word translation, and the Reina-Valera 1909, a classic Spanish translation.

Bible Clock sits comfortably on any tabletop, shelf, or bedside, so you can place it wherever you’d like scripture to meet your day. Its brushed-brass alloy stand and non-slip cork base keep it steady, and the natural wood frame fits well with a wide variety of interior decor styles. Many of our customers choose a spot they pass often, like a living room shelf or a bedside table, so each glance at the time offers a quiet moment of reflection.
